Muslims In Libya Condemn Violence, Apologize To Americans
Seriously, I am so glad to see this. People are so easy to hate a group of people for what a select few have done. Hate the terrorists, not the religion.
This is what I try to tell people.
What we see on the news is the 1% of the middle eastern population that is equivalent to what hicks and rednecks are to America. They’re extremists. You think these people want their country terrorized? You think they want bombs? Do you think these people asked for war? NO. They didn’t. But those extremists did, so now they live in fear and don’t have the luxury of being safe. If America was being bombed constantly, I’m sure we would be much uglier than them. But everyday for the past 10 years has been a constant reminder of 9/11 to them, to the mistakes made by others, and now their days look like hell on Earth. So to judge a whole race of people off of what some extremists did is completely ignorant. Romney’s view is that we need to fight these people off, exterminate and regain our power. He put Obama down for trying to find peace rather than drop bombs. But of course, power is much more important than peace, right?
